The Festival of Leisure!

Operating our club call G0SRC, we attend the festival during the last weekend in June. This two day event, takes place at ...

Maurice Lea Memorial Park in Church Gresley, Swadlincote,

South Derbyshire.

The callsign at this event varies from our own Club call, to GB4NSW (National Science Week!)

This event occurs at Rosliston Forestry Centre, which is a Derbyshire County Council run organisation that promotes the care of wildlife and conservation.

It is part of the National Forest.

The club has also operated on numerous occasions at this local school - www.eureka.derbyshire.sch.uk - giving the children an insight into amateur radio and an opportunity to pass greetings messages to other amateurs around the country and indeed the world, with the support of club members. Something that the children thoroughly enjoy!

 Thanks to a couple of dedicated members of the club, the school now has its own callsign of M0GND. This was first aired on July 20th 2010 with G7JHW and 2E0DAQ - thanks chaps!

The school call is aired twice a month on a Tuesday evening from 3.30 - 4.30pm - keep an 'ear out' for their call!!!
