Robert, 2E0BGV, took part in Transmission 2007 on the 22/23 September and raised as much money for the BWBF as possible by making as many contacts as possible.

He raised a whopping £233 and his thanks go to all those who have sponsored him and hope they all will sponsor him again in the future.

Unfortunately, HF conditions were poor and the bands weren't very active. This meant the amount of contacts were few - only 102. But on saying that, Robert, on Sunday morning at 07:00 GMT, managed to work VK7GK in Tazmania on 40m with just 50 watts!

His thanks, as well as to the people who sponsored him, to those that made contact with me during the event. This includes Gerald (M5ACI), Lewis (G4CRT), Fred (2E0FJS), Bob (G7JHW), Jacqui (2E0BGV), Roger (M1CBO), Steve (2E0KPO), John (M0JDK), Peter (M1CNL), Mike (G7NBE), Frank (M1BFV) and Dave (G0AOD). Thanks go especially to those who contacted me more than once on various bands and on both days.

Nevertheless, the event had a little publicity as he had an article in the Burton Mail and an interview (again) on Radio Derby. Both took place whilst Robert was at school - this meant the photograph in the paper didn't really suit the event HI HI!
